This is a shared space. A few simple agreements help protect the experience for everyone.
-
Arrive Early
Please give yourself time to arrive, settle in, and set up before class begins. Doors close when class starts, and late entry is not permitted.
-
No Late Entry
Once class begins, the studio doors are locked and late entry is not permitted. This protects the safety, focus, and experience of everyone in the room and allows our teachers to begin without interruption.
-
Leave Your Phone Behind
Movement rooms are phone-free spaces. Silence your devices and leave them with your belongings so everyone has the opportunity to disconnect and be fully present.
-
Shoes Off
Shoes stay outside the movement room. Leave personal belongings in the designated storage areas and bring only what you need for practice.
-
Respect the Room
Enter quietly and be mindful of the people already settling into their practice. Conversation and connection are encouraged — just save them for the spaces outside the movement room.
-
Take Care of What We Share
Please wipe down anything you've used and return mats, blocks, weights, and props to their home. Leave the space ready for the person coming after you.
-
Sweat With Consideration
For heated and high-intensity classes, bring a towel and practice good personal hygiene. We will be moving closely together.
-
Make Space for Every Body
Maru is a space for different bodies, backgrounds, abilities, and ways of moving. Be thoughtful with your words, respect personal boundaries, and allow everyone to have their own experience.
-
Honor Your Reservation
If you can't make class, cancel as early as possible so someone else has the opportunity to practice. Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to our cancellation policy.
I'm brand new. Where should I start?
Foundations, Slow Flow, and Deep Stretch + Release are some of our most accessible entry points. Use your intro offer to try more than one.
Do I need to be flexible or experienced?
No, not at all. Experience might change which class is your best fit; it is not a requirement for belonging.
Which classes are heated?
Every heated class is labeled as heated on the class schedule.
What should I bring?
Water, comfortable movement clothes, and a personal sweat towel for heated classes. Mats and towels are available, each for a $3 rental fee.
Can I practice while pregnant or with an injury?
Please contact the studio and speak with your teacher before class so we can help you find the right fit for that day.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can change or cancel your class booking up to 30 minutes before the start of class and retain your class credit. Cancellations inside that window forfeit the class credit and are subject to a $5 late-cancellation fee.
What if I'm late?
Once class begins, doors are locked and late entry isn't permitted — this protects the shared experience for everyone already in the room.
Where do I park?
Maru has a parking lot on site with ample space.
